Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time images and release date hit the internet

Publish date: 2022-04-16

The Crash leaks continue: this time it's images and a release date.

After this week's leak of the game title, platforms and game description via the Taiwan Digital Game Rating Committee, Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time has seen (not particularly high-res) images and a release date hit the internet.

The images, which emerged on 4chan and were spotted by ResetEra, appear to be lifted from a trailer or promo of some sort (the Xbox logo appears, but we know the game is also coming to PlayStation 4). They show off the Toys for Bob-developed platformer, reveal a couple of skins you get for buying digitally (skins that appear to confirm you can play as Crash and Coco), and a release date of 9th October 2020.

The screenshots are of poor quality, so it's hard to say much about the game based upon them. But of course there's the 3D platforming we expect, vibrant colour palette and, yes, masks and crates.

Yesterday, perhaps mindful of all the various leaks that had occurred this week, Toys for Bob tweeted to say it would reveal its next game on Monday, 22nd June.

It’s almost TIME. More info on our next game is coming June 22!

Here's that game description, in case you missed it:

"Crash is relaxing and exploring his island in his time, 1998, when he finds a mysterious mask hidden away in a cave, Lani-Loli. The mask is one of the Quantum Masks and apparently knows Aku-Aku, Crash's mask friend! With the Quantum Masks returning and a Quantum Rift appearing near our heroes, they decide to bravely head through to different times and dimensions to stop whoever is responsible."

Not long now.
