DQ Heroes: Rocket Slime sequel for 3DS
A sequel to cult DS favourite Dragon Quest Heroes: Rocket Slime is coming to 3DS, publisher Square Enix has announced.
A new teaser site for Slime Mori Mori Dragon Quest 3: Daikaizoku to Shippodan – to give it its full Japanese title - offers very little information, other than confirming 3D support, a multiplayer mode for two to four players and compatibility with Wi-Fi and Street Pass.
Andriasang adds a little more colour, reporting that the latest issue of Japanese magazine Jump pegs a nautical theme for the game. Apparently Slimes will be setting sail in ships and engaging in 3D battles with enemy pirates.
No Western release has yet been confirmed but the game is to due launch in Japan in the Winter.
Its predecessor launched back on DS back in 2006 winning a cheerful 8/10 from Eurogamer.
"While it never becomes particularly difficult, it remains constantly interesting, bursting with personality and a desire to be incredibly silly," wrote EG scribe John Bedford.
