Monster Hunter World Ore locations - How to get Purecrystal, Bathycite Ore, Dragonvein Coal and other rare ores

Monster Hunter World Ores are one of many components you'll need to construct weapons and armour pieces for your Hunter and Palico.

However, there's a variety of kinds - Fucium Ore, Dragonite Ore and Lightcrystal - and it's not immediately clear from which areas or activities they are from.

What are Monster Hunter World ore used for?

Ore are one of many classifications of components you'll collect as you play Monster Hunter World, and are used as a component for constructing weapons and armour pieces.

Ores are primarily sourced from Mining Outcrops, which are a crystals in each of the game's hunting areas. Simply walk up to it, press the button prompt, and forage away.

You get three ores per Mining Outcrop, and unlike previous Monster Hunter games, there's no need to have a pickaxe on you to mine them.

If you are specifically after Mining Outcrops, then remember you can use your map to locate the desired one, and click in the right stick to have your Scoutflies take you to them.

Unlike Bone Piles, there are differences between Ores - red and blue - but the good news is Ores across areas tend to be the same. Of course, they do then differ between Low Rank and High Rank.

How to get Dragonite Ore, Dragonvein Crystal, Spiritcore Ore and other common Ores

The following are common Ores in Low Rank:

• Iron Ore location - Mining Outcrops (more common in Ancient Wastes and Wildspire Wastes, both Ranks)
• Machalite Ore location - Mining Outcrops (more common in Ancient Wastes and Wildspire Wastes, Low Rank)
• Dragonite Ore location - Mining Outcrops (Coral Highlands, Rotten Vale and Elder's Recess, all ranks)

The following are common Ores in High Rank and Master Rank:

• Carbalite Ore location - Mining Outcrops (all areas in High Rank, more common in red deposits)
• Dragonvein Crystal location - Mining Outcrops (all areas in High Rank, more common in red deposits)
• Spiritcore Ore location - Mining Outcrops (all areas in High Rank, more common in red deposits)
