Notch steps down as lead developer of Minecraft
Indie megastar Markus "Notch" Persson is no longer the lead developer of the game he created, Minecraft.
That title will go to Jens Bergensten, wrote Persson on his blog.
"Personally, I will now rest for a while, then get back to work refreshed and eager," explained Persson.
"I'll be helping out with Minecraft, of course, but also starting work on some new project."
Bergensten and Persson have been working on Minecraft together for a year. Person said he feels "very confident" handing Minecraft over to him.
Minecraft recently shed its beta stabilisers and launched. Eurogamer's Minecraft review awarded 10/10.
