This research quest is available to all players - whether you've brought a Go Tour: Johto ticket or not - but, if you want all of the rewards, you do need to complete it before the event ends at 9pm local time.

Here are some tips which will help you complete the Go Tour: Johto Battle Challenge research quest in Pokémon Go:

• Remember, just like Team Go Rocket Grunts, each Go Gym Trainer can be found at PokéStops. You need to fight them in the above order to complete each quest step.
