Stardew Valley Treasure Chest contents explained
Treasure chests are found during the fishing mini-game in Stardew Valley.
Each treasure chest will contain a variety of random loot, which can be anything from a piece of stone to an ornamental fan, which you can donate to the museum.
Reeling in treasure chests along fish is a great way to earn some extra cash to help build your farm; you might even find an item required for one of the Community Center bundles.

Treasure Chests in Stardew Valley explained
Sometime, when you reel in a fish, you might also find a treasure chest alongside your catch.
If you want this treasure, you need to make sure it's within the boundaries of the 'Fishing Bar,' which will make a small, separate, progress bar appear above the chest.
Once this progress bar is completed, the treasure chest will vanish from the screen, allowing you to focus all your attention on the fish and you must catch this fish.
If the fish does manage to escape, then you'll also lose the treasure chest.
You can increase your chances of finding treasure chests by attaching the Treasure Hunter tackle to your rod or by having the Pirate profession.
One of the main goals in Stardew Valley is to complete the Community Center bundles or, if you’re corporate minded, you can buy a JojaMart Membership. Fishing is a great way to earn money in Stardew Valley, especially if you decide to use crab pots and ponds. Throughout the year you’ll also be able to take in a variety of festivals, including the Egg Festival, Stardew Valley Fair and the Night Market.
