La Cage au Fou
Head to the cemetery. On your way, you'll be accosted by a messenger who'll trigger the Turn and Face the Strange secondary quest - we recommend you break off from the main plot and get this one done now, as it unlocks the new Mutations upgrade system.
When you reach the marker, the door is locked, so head for the open grave a few yards to the left and drop inside - you'll be attacked by Kikimores (the local equivalent of Endregas), so you may want to get some Insectoid oil ready. When the path turns to the right, move forward to the dead end instead of taking the turning and there's an illusory wall here that can be dispelled with the Eye of Nehaleni, with some decent loot to be had behind it. Chat to Regis, and optionally have a drink with him while you wait...
Read the bestiary entry on Wights and Spotted Wights, then head for the marker. Inside the house there's a lot of stuff to examine, but it's mostly spoons. The important items are a journal in the oven to the left as you enter, a mirror in the room to the left, the skeletons around the table in the room at the top of the cellar stairs, the writing on the wall near the skeletons, and a letter in the left corner behind the skeletons.
Once you've looked around at the items of interest, head down to the cellar. The cauldron is in an anteroom on the right just before the second set of stairs - examine it, then hide in the cupboard near the room's entrance. A cut-scene will play, and you're given the choice of trying to lift the curse or attacking the beast - it's a fairly straightforward fight, but the humane option will unlock another side-quest later. If you take the peaceful option then, when prompted, you need to choose to eat without spoons, and then follow the scent trail back outside until you find the confused old woman and return her to your home.
Whichever way you handle her, once you have the saliva, return to Regis and talk to him - the door is unlocked now so you can take the easy route in. Head to Tesham Mutna and follow Regis into the depths, and as you go be sure to loot the containers you pass to collect a full set of Tesham Mutna armour and a sword - each piece you equip earns you a 1% Vitality top-up every time you kill an enemy, and there are six pieces in total.
When you reach the bottom, Regis will give you some bait to place at points around the room, but you'll need to use Aard on a couple of spots to clear out the debris. When you've placed the bait, make sure you're all set for a fight, let Regis know, and then tackle the waves of beasts as they pour in. There's a variety of Ghouls, Scurvers, Rotfiends, and other similar enemies, and they spawn at regular intervals from random points around the room, so use your minimap to keep track - if you've not finished off one wave before the next appears, it's easy to get swamped. Once Regis' blood-lust meter fills, any remaining enemies will beat a retreat and a cut-scene will play to round off the quest.
