Imperial Audience
Get dressed and talk to the chamberlain
It's time to enjoy a well-earned hot bath, a clean shave and some scintillating chat with some new friends. Navigate through the various conversation trees as you wish and then, once you regain control of Geralt, get ready to acquire some new clothes. Simply select the outfit that takes your fancy from the three on display (or take all three if you're feeling greedy), then enter the inventory menu to equip it. Once you're comfortable with your attire, exit the menu and talk to the chamberlain. When prompted, demonstrate your best bow (it's left leg forward, right hand on chest), then wrap up the conversation to proceed.
Follow the chamberlain
Make your way through the Royal Palace interior, following along behind the chamberlain, until you reach the door at the end of the hallway. When you reach the emperor, decide whether you'll greet him with a bow or not, then work your way through the various dialogue options. It seems your old acquaintance needs your help tracking down his daughter, Ciri - and who are you to say no? With the conversation over, follow the chamberlain back through the palace's corridors and out into the moonlit courtyard. Eventually, you'll reach Yennefer's chamber - head inside to continue.
Talk to Yennefer
Inside, make your way passed the roaring fire and into the next room where Yennefer awaits. Work your way through the dialogue options, learning more of Ciri and the Wild Hunt. It seems Yennefer's informants (in Velen and Novigrad) have promising leads regarding Ciri's whereabouts. Once the conversation is over, spend a few minutes looting Yennefer's chamber. You'll find some informative books and other goodies on the shelves, plus a few more precious items - including an Alchemy diagram - in the chest near the window.
Retrieve your equipment from the chamberlain
Before you head back out to the courtyard, talk to Ambassador var Attre near the fire in order to learn more of the world and recent events. When you're done, exit Yennefer's quarters to encounter the chamberlain, retrieve your belongings and complete your current quest.
