Shoda Sah is one of the many Shrines located throughout Zelda: Breath of the Wild. The challenge inside, named the Impeccable Timing trial, is a puzzle that has you fire spheres into two moving holes, past obstacles along the way. Get it right, and you'll walk out a success.

If you need help finding and solving other Shrines, our Zelda: Breath of the Wild Shrine of Trials locations page can help, while our Zelda: Breath of the Wild walkthrough and guide covers other aspects of the game.

Where to find Shoda Sah

The Shoda Sah shrine is located within the Faron region, specifically hidden behind a waterfall in the northernmost of the lakes in the watery area just north-east of Faron Tower. To get there, you'll need to do a bit of climbing, starting by gliding north-east from Faron Tower and climbing the nearby cliff.

We recommend having the Climbing Gear and maybe a stamina-boosting meal to help you out - or just a large pool of stamina. Once you're high enough, keep heading north-east until you reach lake with two small rock formations in it, just above a large waterfall.

Stand on the eastern side of the waterfall, and then paraglide down staying on that side.

You'll see a small pathway near the bottom that's lined with an old ruined wall, which leads behind the waterfall to the Shrine itself.

Shoda Sah and Impeccable Timing trial solution

Inside Shoda Sah, you'll see two moving platforms with holes in, and a group of spheres lined up in front of you, with a locked door at the end of the central walkway. You'll need to get the balls into the holes to open it.

The desired practice here is loading the balls into the makeshift catapults either side, and hitting a level to project them at just the right time - but there is in fact a much quicker way of doing it.

Thanks to a new update, it's now possible to play Zelda Breath of the Wild in VR. Want help with the main game? Our Zelda: Breath of the Wild walkthrough can help complete Divine Beasts Vah Ruta, Vah Rudiana, Vah Medoh and Vah Naboris and more. There's also how to get the Master Sword, Hylian Shield and all Zelda Captured Memories and Great Fairy Fountain locations, while our Shrines locations and Shrine maps hub explains where to find and solve every puzzle room, including dragon locations and Labyrinth solutions. We also have a DLC 1 guide and DLC 2 guide, including all Tingle, Majora's Mask, Phantom, Midna outfit locations.

If you want to do it the fast way, pick up a ball and walk most of the way down the short ramp into the water - we started on the right-hand side first as it unlocks the bonus chest. Drop the ball in the water in front of you, and then construct a pillar of ice under it using the Cryonis ability.

Climb up the pillar - being careful not to knock the ball back into the water as you do so - and then pick up the ball.

From there, it's a fairly easy throw (make sure you hit Throw, and not Drop!) to the hole in front of you. You can also alternatively build two more Cryonis pillars in front of you to let you just drop the ball in instead.

The hole on the right will unlock a bonus chest with x5 Ice Arrows inside.

Repeat the same trick on the slightly harder left-hand side hole.

Another chest will drop just behind you, this time containing a Small Key to get you through the locked door.

And with that, you're all done!

While you're here, here are other Shrines within this region:
